I happened to see the plight of MD of Mysore Lamps. He claims himself to be honest.. ..
I started questioning the honesty of IAS after I found out that most characterless of my batchmates got into IAS.
I started doubting IAS after many interactions with IAS.
I completely stopped trusting the IAS after the Gautam Goswami’s run to the celebrity status in Time Magazine and equally quick exit into the Beur Jail.
But this officer, Mr M N Vijaykumar seems to be an unfit to be an IAS officer and hence perhaps is honest by that rule.
M N Vijayakumar blew lid on many corrupt officers and was promptly rewarded with transfers as and when he tried to do something good. He saw six transfer orders in six months!!!.
So what is new now?
He has now been made MD of Mysore Lamps.. One time a prestigious company but now defunct.. with no responsibility and staff.

Being MD of a defunct company!!!. How does it sound? You have no staff to supervise. You have no shareholders to report to. You have no products to sell!! Great!! Sounds like he can take his bed to the office and sleep.
But wait he has no office to go!! After repeatedly bugging the chanmangus in the government he decided to hold his meetings at home. He sends meeting notices to the board of directors and no one turns up. He then reschedules the meeting and then again no one turns up.!!! He starts doubting if the directors whom are reporting to him were fictional characters and then arranges one more meeting and webcasts the meeting so that in case if some director is virtual he or she could join in.
Virtual meeting ends with no attendance from fictional directors.
Vijay Kumar introduces agenda and introduces himself to himself and allocates work to himself and then votes to pass all the motions introduced, seconds them (or should we say firsts them ) and then sends the copy to State Chief secretary, and Lokayukta for information.
Great show Vijay. If you can put up with some fictional character as your director, why not a real character like me. Can I be one of the virtual director? That we can call reverse outsourcing. Indian Government outsourced to US to address trade deficit US has with India. That was just kidding.
Rang De Vijay Kumar. Our best wishes are with you.

This goes on to prove the old adage “Deepada Kelage Kattale”

Madam,
I have spoken to you over phone. I have been fighting a battle against commercial tax department for the last one year against corruption. In mangalore there are two major transporters viz., LMT and Manish. They clandestinely transport arecanut and cashew kernel from Mangalore to upcountry states without any documents. The total evasion as per CAMPCO estimates (CAMPCO is a state level co-operative society) is Rs.5000 crores per year in arecanut alone.
The modus operandi of the transporter is to book the commercial tax department, APMC, Railway authorities at RO RO point. (Ro Ro is the short form for roll on wherein the entire lorry is transported on a rail) and also police authorities. Even media who tried to interfere where booked. I was fighting this battle but I am helpless against these huge mountain. I was threatened several times that I will be murdered or physically handicapped if I tried to expose the corruption.
However there are certain officers in the Department who really want to fight this evil. Their names Subramniyam, JCCT, Kalayya, CTO, parameshwaraih DC, Fernandes CTO. These officers have tried to fight this evil but they are not supported by the boss. I have suggested to the CCT, Bangalore various methods to fight this evil but he has failed to do anything.
Sri.Harish Gowda IAS is a strict officer but he too has become lameduck due to the negetive approach of lower officials.
I request you to speak to the CCT, Bangalore to whom I have sent a mail today suggesting certain concrete measures to fight this corrruption. Kindly help me to fight this corrruption.
Let God bless you in your great FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION.
