Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

By Narayana

I was reading through discussions on churumuri on Sam Manekshaw’s role in Indian history in light of Karan Thapar’s insinuations in the light of Gohar’s book.

For those who think light of India’s only decisive victory, please read the surrender document signed by Pakistan shown below.

Nothing illustrates the heights achieved under Sam’s tutelage. Sam India owes its freedom to you!!!

  1. P. Harimohan (use Anon) Says:

The lack of respect to India’s greatest soldier at his passing displayed by India’s president, prime, & defence minister and all down the line is despicable and beneath contempt. This India is supposed to be “shining” with this kind of indecent act of disrespect displayed by the third rate triumvirate Pratibha Patil, Manmohan Singh, & A K Anthony? As a direct result of their loathsome act of omission hundreds of thousands of young men who would have joined the Indian armed forces will not do so now to the detriment of the country. All because of these three beneath contempt worthies.
