November 14, 2008Nataka Time!!!
November 12, 2008Great Fiction Writer
October 25, 2008Aravind Adiga got Booker and many Indians are having heartburn because they argue that protagonist of the novel “White Tiger” is pure figment of imagination unconnected to real shining India.
Why read too much into fiction when Adiga’s earlier news reports in prestigious Time magazine were also a bunch of fiction!!!
Arvind wrote pure fiction as Time correspondent!!! and it got sold!!! Probably Aravind has found his true calling is writing fictions rather than concocting news!!!.
For the damage Adiga did refer to this newslink from 2004. Adiga sang eulogies to then DM of Patna that resulted in he getting man of the year!!! But DM was stealing money and everyone associated with flood relief work knew that DM was a gas bag because no intended benefits were ever seen reaching the poor!!!! How Adiga missed such a scam is a mystery and Adiga has not done any explaining despite repeated calls to Time.

New Life Voice -Google Cache
September 17, 2008Kannadaprabha reported sudden disappearance of NewLifeVoice.org site. Google cache of the site provides an inkling on blurring of boundaries between church and state.
Look at the point 10.

Thought Police March in
September 4, 2008This is in response to reported move by Indian government to ban exit and opinion polls once the poll dates are announced as reported by Indian express. This goes on to prove that democracy in India has just been a lip service. The real democratic process is so intimidating for our rulers that they have successively rallied together to neuter the Indian democracy and intentions now point to another attack.
Hey my countrymen, unite and resist this new attack on democracy.
The reported move is an assault on free speech which is the most necessary ingredient for building a working democracy. The question of banning free poll is so anathema to democracy that I did not get any historical precedences requesting banning of exit polls anywhere in the western democracies.
This idea can only originate in the stale indian politics with rampant inbreeding.
Umpteen number of times constitutional experts have opined that banning of exit polls is contravenes Indian constitution. Still the government when saddled with stark prospect of loosing seats in the forthcoming elections is trying to misutilize its powers to override law and neuter the democracy further.
I am not a constituitional expert. But my emphasis on retaining exit polls stems from the Greek phrase of “Vox Populi, Vox Deus”. The peoples voice is God’s voice in democracy. Exit polls are equal to gagging the people’s voice.
Present government may think that exit polls influence the poll outcomes and make an impartial poll difficult. But is it not the democratic process? Are’ nt we supposed to reject the representatives who failed to deliver. And don’t we have right to influence others on issues where current government failed. Banning of exit polls is like a gag order. And gag orders are anathema to democracy!!
Aarushi murder: UP top cops transferred
June 1, 2008UP CM has transferred the bungling Noida cops. I fail to understand how transfer can be construed as punishment. Aren’t civil servants paid the same at every location they work? So where is the punishment here?
Doesn’t IG need to demoted to havildar rank as he does not have basic courtesy of respecting a citizen who is paying for IG’s plush comforts.
Doesn’t SSP kneel down before the Noida public and beg pardon?
Why did cops behave so rudely and unprofessionally? Shouldn’t some cops lose their uniforms? Where is the justice here? India is only country where transfers are touted as punishment.
Does this mean that system in India intrinsically believes that some postings are more lucrative than others? Is it not pandering to corruption?
Where will these bungling buffoons of noida police be posted now? In some jumri talaiyya?
If so, why are Jumri talaiyyans getting punished?
No transfer will solve this. Sack the police. They have been given enough opportunities. Nithari was an eye opener. Double murder shut the case. Police are inept, lazy and super arrogant. Sack them all.

And we all fall down!!!
June 1, 2008Defense Minister AK Anthony lost consciousness during an official ceremony at NDA Khadakwasla. It is possible that minister suffered a heat stroke in the Indian Summer. What is interesting here is the picture.
Does this mean that NDA with all its self anointed glory does not have a stretcher!!!?
Does this mean that first response during the medical emergencies is “Clutch and Carry” ?
